Final FRCA Teaching
Final FRCA teaching rotates between OUH and DGHs across the region. The sessions will be held roughly monthly rather than the 3rd Wednesday as in previous years. We hope that this will improve curriculum coverage as well as attendance but are open to feedback!

Exam Courses
Exam Courses
There are many courses available across the country for the Final FRCA Written and Structured Oral Examination. A Final FRCA SOE Course is held in Oxford, run by consultants Dr Annie Smith, Dr Amisha Burumdayal, Dr Anika Sud and Dr Maria Rivero-Bosch.
The next course dates are 12/13th May 2026.

CRQ Writers' Club
CRQ Writers' Club
Writers' club is for anyone working in the Thames Valley region planning to take the Final FRCA written exam in March 2026.
When:
- 8 Dec 2025 to 15 Feb 2026.
Cost:
- Free
Format:
- Topics will be sent out on a bi-weekly basis for candidates to create a CRQ based on a recent BJA topic
- You will send back the CRQ to us, and we will collate all the questions into a document and send it to the group
Effort required:
- Create a CRQ with answers every 2 weeks, based on your allocated BJA article, on the provided template
- You will complete the CRQs for your revision in your own time at home
- You don't need to send any completed questions back
