Thames Valley Regional Core Anaesthetic Teaching Programme

Hello! We are Charlotte and Serina, your Core Training Representatives for 2025/26. We are happy to be your port of call when it comes to Core Training in the Thames Valley Region. 

Our main role is facilitating and improving the Core Regional Teaching Programme, building on the fantastic work of Dr Angie Lee, Dr Sophie Dunin, Dr Jonny Zhang and Dr Kirstin Strathie. We also help to co-ordinate Regional Primary FRCA OSCE/SOE Practice, Core Trainee wellbeing days and act as your voice within the OxDAT committee.

We are piloting a new regional teaching programme for core level anaesthetists in Thames Valley. The programme has been set up based on literature review, qualitative and quantitative data from trainees and trainers within TV and beyond.

It is an 18 month long programme with fortnightly organised regional teaching that is either completely face to face or completely online, delivered by a host hospital and a group of interested tutors from across the region.
